Christmas

Anyone that knows me knows how much I love the holiday season. This year all my siblings and their families came home for Christmas. We had a lot of fun playing with the cousins, gossiping with my sisters and shopping with my brothers. There was a lot of good food and a lot of presents. You can't go wrong with that combination!!!

One of the best parts of winter is sledding with my boys. Its hilarous to watch Jackson take a running start or to watch Ben using his sled as a snowboard.

The photo uploader is not working so stay tuned for pictures of our amazing Christmas vacation

Anniversary

Last week Matt and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. There are days when it feels like just yesterday we got married... and then there are days when it feels like we have been married forever. I love my husband with all my heart. I love the family we have together.

I love the Christmas season

We decided to brave the conditions and attend the Parade of Lights. It was cold and there were a lot of people but we had a lot of fun seeing all the floats, marching bands, and of Santa Clause covered in Christmas lights.

Thanksgiving 2008

I love the holidays...the music, the food, and the special time with family and friends!!! For Thanksgiving this year we had the opportunity to spend the day with our friends Phil and Jenny and their family. I call Phil and Jenny our friends, but I have to admit (those of you that know me know it is hard for me to admit this) but Phil and Jenny are more than friends, they are family to us. I am so thankful they opened their home to us. I don't have any pictures but trust me when I say we had a great time and ate a lot of great food.

Halloween Mulberry Style

I have to admit... I love Halloween!!! I love how much fun it is to crave pumpkins, pick out costumes for the boys, trick or treating, and Halloween signals the start of the holiday season. The days of Halloween being a one day celebration have past. Every year Halloween seems to get longer and longer. This year Halloween started the saturday before with a Halloween party at the Denver Zoo. There were a lot of people but the boys and I have fun as they dressed up in their costume (Ben was Darth Vader and Jackson was Anakin Skywalker) and went trick or treating around the Zoo.
As we walked around the Zoo we saw a lot of fellow Star Wars characters.

During our week of Halloween we picked pumpkins and carved them.

The boys also had a Halloween party at Matt's work. They had a lot of fun trick or treating around the Broncos Stadium!!! I was sad that I had to work that night so I could not go. And of course Matt forgot the camera so there are no pictures :(

Finally on Halloween... we had a lot of fun. My sister Angela came in with her two boys from Florida. And my brother DJ and his family came down from Cheyenne. We got all the cousins dressed up and went trick or treating around Nana and Papa's neighborhood. Talk about a lot of candy!!!

I'm sorry

I'm sorry to all those who have noticed my lack of blogging the last couple of weeks. Life has been a little busy around the Mulberry household.

The month of October was busy and felt like the never ending month. For those of you that don't know, I work with the kids at my church. I have had a lot of fun and have made a lot of friends but I am tired. Every year the kids put on a program of what they have learned that year in church. And every year for the past 4 years I have helped put on that program. It is always cute to see the kids sing and say their parts but it is a lot of work to get to that point. Another one down and hopefully next year I can watch from the audience!!!!

This month also brought a change in my job status. I have worked the last 5 months as a Nurse Intern, which means a glorified CNA. I liked my position but I was ready to move on to the RN position. With the job switch came two weeks of sitting in a classroom 5 days a week for 8-9 hours a day. A hard adjustment when me and my family are used to me working only 3 days a week. Oh well it over and I survived. Now I get to work along side an amazing nurse as she mentors and teaches me how to become an amazing nurse as well (I hope I can be an amazing nurse!?!).

Well those are my excuses for not blogging the last couple of weeks. I hope all will accept my apologizes. Life is getting back to normal... well as much as it can in the Mulberry family!!!
