Last night was our annual trip to the Circus. Part of me felt guilty for spending the money on tickets. But than last night as the we were laughing, uhhing and ahhing together I realized spending the money was worth it for the fun memories we have together. The look at Jackson's face was priceless when he saw a man swing across some monkey bars by
his feet. Anyone that knows Jackson understands the monkey bars are his favorite activity. I hated to burst his bubble but I had to quickly remind him to "not try this at home or school or anywhere." Because I realized the priceless look on his face was an idea brewing in his mind.

Ben has a very contagious laugh and once he started laughing at what he called the "butt swingers" I could not help but laugh too. He got me laughing so hard I almost wet myself. The
acrobats he called the "butt swingers" would put their legs behind their heads and balance on their hands while swinging their butts. I guess you had to see to fully understand.

When I look at the fact that my boys are now 8 years old and 5 years old I want to cry for two reasons. One... my boys are no longer my babies, they are growing up right before my eyes. Two...I have been blessed to spend the past 8 years as a mother to two AMAZING boys!!! I am thankful for the challenges and blessings they bring to my life everyday.
As we were playing last night I realized the one thing we were missing was their Dad, my husband. Unfortunately, Matt is not a huge fan of certain activities. And when I try to explain to him that those activities are memories we are creating for our family I still get the blank look on his face. I have tried in the past to include him in the planning but that doesn't help. But when I plan without him... he acts like I have hurt his feelings. I can't win!!! I don't want to sit around and wait for him to decide he wants to play with us... so until than we will keep playing, having fun and creating unforgettable memories. Please understand I love my husband with all my heart I just needed to express my sadness that he was not with us last night.

The picture is blurry but yes it is Ben starting 3rd grade
